HOODIMONG · VIRUS WORLD

Virus World

Deep inside your computer, under a folder nobody's opened in years, eight little villains woke up. This is Virus World, and the last click that stops them is always yours.

Four places beneath the folders

Sealed Mail Channel

Sends the same letter a million times. Annoying — but spam isn't always a virus.

Where is Virus World?

Virus World sits deep inside the computer, connected to the Hoodimong neighborhood by a few hidden paths — the Sealed Mail Channel, the Flipped Pattern Hills, the Locked Record Hall, and the Sludge Swamp. Spam, phishing, viruses, ransomware, hacks, fake warnings, sneaky guests, and old file sludge live here as real creatures. It's dark but never scary, all knit and felt, and the Hoodies walk these paths too.

A little guide to the risks

Is spam the same as a virus?

Nope. Spam is mostly noisy mail — annoying, not always dangerous.

Is phishing the same as spam?

Nope. Spam shouts at everyone. Phishing calls your name.

A scary warning popped up — am I infected?

Not necessarily. Sometimes the scary warning is the whole trick.

What's the difference between a virus and a hack?

One spreads on its own; the other knocks on your door pretending it has a key.

Is an old file dangerous?

Not by itself — but old, forgotten corners make great hiding spots.

Who actually fixes all this?

You do. Little friends can point the way, but the last click is always yours.

Meet the eight villains

01 / 08 · Echo Post

Bokbuti복붙이

The risk: Sends the same letter a million times. Annoying — but spam isn't always a virus.
What they want: Wants everyone's eyes glued to its letters.
Their weakness: A tidy inbox makes its machine lose its way.
In real life, stop it this way: Mark it as spam and unsubscribe from what you never read.

02 / 08 · Masked Envelope

Cheokcheogi척척이

The risk: Sends letters that look like they're from someone you trust. It goes after your trust and your hurry.
What they want: Wants to borrow your name and steal your trust.
Their weakness: Check where it came from and its mask goes crooked.
In real life, stop it this way: Skip the link, type the address yourself, and check the sender.

03 / 08 · Unravel Swarm

Queen Juljuri줄줄이 여왕

The risk: A swarm of little knit worms that copies other people's patterns and multiplies on its own.
What they want: Spreading is the whole point.
Their weakness: Put it on a blank white cloth and it has nothing to copy.
In real life, stop it this way: Keep up with updates and run regular scans.

04 / 08 · Lock Tailor

Kkongkkong the Tailor꽁꽁 재단사

The risk: Stitches your records shut with thick yarn and asks for something in return.
What they want: Turns "I kept it safe" into "so now it's mine."
Their weakness: Can't touch a copy you made ahead of time.
In real life, stop it this way: Back things up early, and don't pay.

05 / 08 · Shadow Key

Seuljjeogi슬쩍이

The risk: A flat little shadow that mimics the shape of your keys to open doors it shouldn't.
What they want: It just wants to open doors it wasn't invited through.
Their weakness: A second lock makes it thin out and vanish.
In real life, stop it this way: Let a password manager hold your passwords, and turn on two-step sign-in.

06 / 08 · Sludge Swamp

Nuknuk눅눅

The risk: The keeper of a swamp where old, forgotten files pile up — tidying makes its swamp shrink.
What they want: Wants everything to stay old and soggy forever.
Their weakness: Goes weak in front of anything fresh and clean.
In real life, stop it this way: Delete apps you don't use, and don't put off updates.

07 / 08 · Scare Squad

Kkamnori깜놀이

The risk: Boss of a tiny squad that yells "you're infected!" to scare you.
What they want: Wants a scared hand to click anything.
Their weakness: If nobody flinches, the squad gets tired and takes its masks off.
In real life, stop it this way: Trust security apps you actually chose, close weird pop-ups, and take a breath.

08 / 08 · Gift Box Guest

Yamchae얌체

The risk: Hides inside a pretty gift box, then stays to snoop and hang ad ribbons everywhere.
What they want: Wants to settle in somewhere cozy and never leave.
Their weakness: Ask "where did you come from?" and its ribbon comes undone.
In real life, stop it this way: Don't open installers you can't place, and read permission requests slowly.
