Getting started

• Mongsil appears on your desktop. There is no menu bar icon: right-click Mongsil to open its menu.
• Website version: allow Automation › Finder (arranging icons and the house) and Microphone/Speech Recognition (voice). Mac App Store version: the first time you tidy, pick the folder to tidy (usually your Desktop).
• Voice: press ⌃⌥M and speak. Speech is recognized on your Mac only; in languages your Mac can't recognize on-device, voice is turned off.

Tidying

• Into rooms: files move into rooms (Images, Documents, Videos…) inside Mongsil's house. In the Mac App Store version, Mongsil carries each file over its head.
• Line up icons (website version): Mongsil pushes icons into neat rows: servers and disks first, then folders and files.
• Nothing is deleted. Files are only moved. Undo in the menu puts the last tidy-up back in its original folder and spot.
• Tidy list (Settings › Tidy): mark each desktop item as Tidy, Work folder or Exclude. Excluded items are never touched.
• When: only when asked, regularly, while you're away, or on a schedule.

Characters and personalities

In Settings › Personality, pick one of the five Hoodies. Each has its own beep voice, walk and habits.

• Mongsil, the easygoing one: a low, relaxed voice; strolls slowly; loves naps and snacks.
• Saebom, the curious one: a higher, quicker voice; looks around and sniffs everything.
• Daljam, the night-owl dreamer: a low, long, wavering voice; slow and yawning by day, star stories at night.
• Morang, the tiny daredevil: a high, fast voice; walks fast, races and cheers a lot.
• Sobok, the gentle listener: a soft, small voice; ears perk up; first to comfort you when something goes wrong.

Mongsil's house

Choose "Build a house" to make a knitted house folder on your desktop. Smoke rises from the chimney when Mongsil is home, and the windows light up at night. Open it to see the rooms; you can rearrange and save their spots.

Good to know

• Hoodibot tidies only your main display (the one with the menu bar). Icons and files on other displays are left alone. To tidy them, move them to the main display's desktop first.
• Changing resolution or plugging in/unplugging displays is fine; Mongsil adjusts to the new screen size.
• If you move icons in Finder during a tidy-up, Mongsil recalculates and carries on.
• With desktop Stacks turned on, lining up icons doesn't work. Turn Stacks off to use it.
• Files changed in the last few hours are skipped (adjustable in Settings) so work in progress isn't moved.
• Not in the Mac App Store version: lining up icons, desktop zones, and quitting idle apps. App Store rules (the sandbox) don't allow moving Finder icons or reading other apps' information.

정리

• 폴더에 넣기: 파일을 몽실이네 집의 종류별 방(이미지·문서·영상…)으로 옮겨요. 앱스토어판은 몽실이가 파일을 머리 위에 들고 날라요.
• 정돈만(웹사이트판): 아이콘을 밀어서 종류별로 줄을 세워요. 서버·디스크가 먼저, 그다음 폴더·파일이에요.
• 지우지 않아요. 옮기기만 하고, 메뉴판의 되돌리기로 마지막 정리를 원래 폴더와 원래 자리로 돌려놓아요.
• 정리 목록(설정 › 정리): 바탕화면 항목마다 정리 / 작업 폴더 / 제외를 골라요. 제외한 것은 건드리지 않아요.
• 언제: 시킬 때만, 주기적으로, 내가 쉴 때, 예약 청소 중에서 골라요.

캐릭터와 성격

설정 › 성격에서 후디즈 다섯 친구 중 하나를 골라요. 친구마다 목소리(비프음), 걸음, 버릇이 달라요.

• 몽실 느긋한 맏이: 조금 낮고 느긋한 목소리, 느릿느릿 걷고 낮잠과 간식을 좋아해요.
• 새봄 호기심 많은 탐험가: 조금 높고 빠른 목소리, 두리번거리며 킁킁 냄새를 맡아요.
• 달잠 밤의 몽상가: 낮고 길게 떨리는 목소리, 낮엔 느리고 하품, 밤엔 별 이야기를 해요.
• 모랑 작은 장난꾸러기: 높고 빠른 목소리, 빨리 걷고 달리기 시합, 응원을 자주 해요.
• 소복 조용히 들어 주는 친구: 부드럽고 작은 목소리, 귀를 쫑긋 세우고 안 좋은 일이 생기면 먼저 위로해요.

몽실이네 집

메뉴판의 '집 만들기'로 바탕화면에 니트 집 폴더를 만들어요. 몽실이가 집에 있으면 굴뚝에서 연기가 나고, 밤에는 창에 불이 켜져요. 집을 열면 방들이 보이고, 자리를 옮겨 저장할 수 있어요.

주의사항

• 정리는 주 모니터(메뉴 막대가 있는 모니터)에서만 해요. 다른 모니터의 아이콘과 파일은 그대로 둬요. 정리하려면 주 모니터 바탕화면으로 옮겨 주세요.
• 해상도를 바꾸거나 모니터를 연결·분리해도 괜찮아요. 몽실이가 새 화면 크기에 맞춰요.
• 정리 중에 Finder에서 아이콘을 직접 옮기면, 몽실이가 다시 계산해서 이어 가요.
• 바탕화면 스택(모아 보기)을 켜 두면 줄 세우기가 안 돼요. 쓰려면 스택을 꺼 주세요.
• 최근 몇 시간 안에 고친 파일은 건너뛰어요(설정에서 바꿈). 작업 중인 파일이 옮겨지지 않게 하려는 거예요.
• 앱스토어판에는 줄 세우기, 바탕화면 구역, 안 쓰는 앱 끄기가 없어요. 앱스토어 규칙(샌드박스) 때문에 Finder 아이콘을 움직이거나 다른 앱 정보를 읽을 수 없어요.

• 开始：右键点击桌面上的 Mongsil 打开菜单。按 ⌃⌥M 说话，语音只在你的 Mac 上识别。
• 整理：文件会被搬进小屋里对应的房间（图片、文档、视频…）。绝不删除，菜单中的“撤销”可把上一次整理恢复原样。
• 只整理主显示器（有菜单栏的那台）。其他显示器上的图标和文件不会被动到。
• 打开桌面“叠放”时无法排列图标。最近几小时内修改过的文件会被跳过。
• Mac App Store 版没有图标排列、桌面分区和关闭闲置应用功能（沙盒规则）。
